Hello, my name is Stuart Archer. I began my career at the age of 16 when I started out as an apprentice Marine Engineer with a long standing Volvo Penta dealership based in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. During this time I attended numerous Volvo Penta accredited training courses and am now very familiar with the products.  I have now worked in the industry for 24 years, although I was introduced to engines from a very early age by my Father and Grandfather.

Up until June 2022, for the former six years I  worked for the Isle of Wight's Yanmar and Mercruiser dealership, from which I gained valuable experience and broadened my technical skillset.

During my years of working as a Marine Engineer, I have been privileged enough to have worked for and with some of the best in the industry. I have learned valuable skills and gained experience to have been be at a point in my life where I felt confident in taking the next step in my career by starting out on my own.

I am well known around Cowes on the Isle of Wight, and have built solid relationships with many of those in the Marine Engineering industry.

My aim is to combine my dealership quality work, alongside an honest, reliable, value for money service; which will always be my focus when working with my clients.

I am fully mobile in my workshop equipped vehicle and able to work on your boat regardless of the location across the island.

Since forming Archer Marine Services in June 2022, I have formed solid relationships with local and south coast retailers, colleagues in the industry and have met and carried out work for some great customers. My first year in business has definitely been full of non-stop learning, but I have enjoyed it and learned a lot, which has helped me provide the best service that I can for my customers.
